Face Book is introducing the Like button starting today people will be able to connect with your Page by clicking “Like” rather than “Become a Fan.” We hope this action will feel much more lightweight, and that it will increase the number of connections made across the site. I LIKE this; it is far less ostentatious to ask people to like my Kathy Shell page than to ask you to be my fan. I am happy with this, subtle change of emphasis as I love sharing my creative work but do not need people to feel they have to be fans. Hope now that intense sounding ‘fan’ word can be replace by ‘like’ J, my (lol, what do I call you now), lol 'likers' ;-), will be comfortable inviting their friends to come visit and ‘like’, my Kathy Shell page on facebook In my Kathy Shell page on face book I publish all ten of my blogs, each having it’s own leaning but emphasizing healthy lifestyle rather than lose weight fast and I share our positive, gray nomad lifestyle through my travel writing. Reg and I are currently staying at Gerroa NSW to stay at the highly recommended and very dog friendly Seven Mile beach Holiday Park, with our caravan site set up beside the beach. It is wonderful here I am walking and running on the beach, swimming, painting, blogging, and caring for my husband and this my life, and the motivational people I meet and beautiful places we go is the subject that I publish to my Kathy Shell face book page that I would love to have you visit and click, ‘like’. I also run competitions for those who visit this Kathy Shell page, I currently have the audio book, Eclipse by-Stephenie-Meyer, value of $45. Including free postage, to be won, by one of my Kathy Shell (artist), page regulars on face book. I would love to see you there J Hand Written Letters and Postcards 02/07/2010

I made a stay wet pallet for painting the landscape, when I travel, by putting the grids from two smaller containers in the bottom of a shallow square container. I cut wettex sponges to fit over this grid, and then I covered these sponges with wet strength paper towels with part of the paper towel going under the grid to the base of the container. When in use I will have a shallow layer of water under the grid, I will have the wettex sponges damp, the paper towel will remain damp and the paint goes on top of the wet strength paper towel. The air tight lid will then hold the moisture in and any unused acrylic paint left over from a day’s painting session should stay wet until the next painting occasion. |
